Värinää

Dooran Kim

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and started violin when I was 5. I studied violin in Korea and in the United States (Boston, Austin) and afterwards worked in an orchestra in Japan for 4 years. I met my husband Naoki in this orchestra. Currently, I am working as a substitute player in The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. I like to play chamber music and love to teach violin.

When I have free time, I like to watch Korean TV shows and love cooking and baking. I also like to walk in the forest in Finland when it’s warm.

I don’t have many friends yet in Finland but I have some in my church. When I have free time, I like to hang out with my church friends.
